Encompass Elder Care
Geriatric Care Managers (GCM's) are highly specialized with wide-ranging
knowledge and professional experience in managing complex chronic care in the
home and other settings. We are qualified, licensed nurses and professionals
experienced in geriatric care. Our president, Cindy Womack, has co-authored
publications and given numerous presentations on elder care and related
issues. In addition, Encompass Elder Care has working relationships with St.
John’s College School of Nursing and Southern Illinois University
School of Medicine that offer their students a community educational
experience demonstrating Geriatric Care Management and community care of the
elderly.

Cindy Womack | RN, BSN,
CNRN, CMC
Credentials:
Cindy Womack is a licensed registered nurse, with 30 years experience in
neurological/neuroscience and geriatric nursing. She began her career working
in a hospital neurology/neurosurgery ward where she served as a staff nurse
and unit charge nurse. From the hospital setting, she moved to SIU School of
Medicine where as a Research Assistant Professor she coordinated many
Alzheimer Disease research projects for the Department of Psychiatry and the
Center for Alzheimer Disease and Related Disorders. Cindy’s experience
includes being a shift supervisor in a long-term care facility. She has
master’s degree coursework in Gerontology and has been in private
practice as a Geriatric Care Manager since 1992. Cindy earned a Bachelor of
Science in Nursing with Honor from Sangamon
State University.
She is a Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse from the American Board of
Neuroscience Nursing. Cindy recently earned her Care Manager
Certification from the National Academy of Certified Care Managers.

Linda Fulk | RN
Credentials:
Linda Fulk has over 36 years of nursing experience caring for older adults.
Linda’s experience includes work as a hospital nurse, rehabilitation
nurse in an acute care facility, staff nurse and Assistant Director of
Nursing in a long-term care facility and hospice care. She has worked as a
research nurse and clinical instructor at SIU School of Medicine. Linda has
served as a support group facilitator for the Alzheimer Association since
1988 in Springfield
and served a term as chairperson of the Education Committee of that
Association. She has given numerous educational presentations on the care and
management of Alzheimer disease and related disorders. Linda has also
co-authored publications on Alzheimer disease management. Linda has been a
Geriatric Care Manager with Encompass Elder Care since 2001. She received her
Diploma in Nursing from Barnes Hospital, St.
Louis, Missouri and
a past Certification in Gerontological Nursing from the American Nurses
Association.
